ChapCare provides our Community Partners unique opportunities to demonstrate your company’s values and commitment to healthcare equity and access for low-income communities vulnerable to disease. When you partner with ChapCare, we work with you to support one of our programs and services, or design a custom program to effectively engage your company and employees in giving back to the community and making an impact.
Annual 'Holiday Cheer' Event
We are delighted to announce that our 4th Annual ‘Swing fore Health’ Golf Tournament was a big success and everyone had a fantastic time!
More than 100 participants had a great experience throughout the day at a beautiful setting that included: great food, a fun tournament, an opportunity to bid on cool auction items, listening to moving stories from ChapCare speakers, and much more, all in an effort to support ChapCare’s mission to provide excellent, comprehensive and innovative healthcare accessible to everyone in the San Gabriel Valley.
It is always fun and rewarding to bring our community together for a unique event like this, where people can golf for a cause. ChapCare’s golf tournament is a fundraising event that helps us support healthcare for those who can’t afford it.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament help cover the cost of medical services for over 3,000 financially struggling low-income and uninsured individuals and families. ChapCare continues to treat these patients regardless of their inability to pay, providing over $1 million in uncompensated care costs annually.

2022 ‘Holiday Cheer’ Event
At our 11th annual holiday event, we brought joy and happiness to children and their families in the San Gabriel Valley. We created a safe and fun environment for children and their families at our Lincoln clinic in Pasadena and Vacco clinic in South El Monte. We had music, special guests, gifts, raffles, a drumming squad led by children, and much more.
Among the community partners that joined us for this unique experience included: the Pasadena Fire Department (team of fire men with their fire truck), Pasadena Police Department (brought their canine unit, motorcycle and table), Altadena Public Library (tabled and had their mobile library van onsite), Crown City Drum Squad and WIC.
We had Pasadena District #1 Council Member Tyron Hampton as our special guest and speaker, who also donated tickets to the Rose Parade to raffle.
We also had a Covered California table where the Outreach and Enrollment teams provided with information about health insurance enrollment.
Overall, everyone who attended had a great time and staff who helped out as volunteers found it very rewarding.
By the numbers:
- More than 1,000 toys and gifts were given out to attendees at both sites (Pasadena and South El Monte)
- More than 500 books for all ages for all ages were given out
- 500 ChapCare care kit gifts (COVID-19 home kits, dental hygiene kits and ChapCare 2023 calendars) were given out
- Healthy snacks for children and grocery bags for families
- Photo booth where everyone could take a picture with Santa
